About this unit
Liquefied carbon dioxide in a high-pressure seamless cylinder with a frost-free discharge horn. CO2 smothers a fire by displacing oxygen and cooling the fuel, then disperses completely — no powder to clean out of a rack, no film on a circuit board, no corrosion.
The horn is not insulated on cheap units; ours is, because bare metal at discharge temperature will freeze to skin. Use in a confined space carries an asphyxiation risk: ventilate and leave the room after use.
5 year warranty on the cylinder, 1 year on the valve assembly.
